CL-to-JS

Extend one of the existing CL-to-JS translators with advanced HOP-like functionality

HOP (http://hop.inria.fr/) is a very cool Scheme-to-JS compiler with very good Ajax support (for more information, see http://hop.inria.fr/usr/local/share/hop/weblets/home/articles/hop-lang/article.html ).

This project would involve extending one of the existing CL-to-JS translators (ParenScript, LispScript, JSGEN) with HOP-like functionality (a more advanced compiler for a subset of CL and transparent Ajax-powered browser-server communication). Currently, there is a discussion among the authors of the above three CL-to-JS translators. Manuel Odendahl, one of the authors of ParenScript, has volunteered to mentor, as has Peter Seibel, the developer of LispScript. Manuel is also currently a student and said he would be interested in doing this project with another mentor.
